What does ‘word’ do?

Fundamentally we all are aware that the human body is made up of multiple units known as ‘cell’. In a similar way sentence, we communicate or messages we share are made up of multiple ‘words’. Remember, ‘Words’ are the building block of what you communicate with your friends, relatives, colleagues or neighbors, or anyone else you come across throughout your day.

Be extremely choosy and selective while using words. If you wish to change your life and shape your destiny you need to consciously select your words.

What Stops Us In Mastering ‘Right Words’?

English has lacs of words. The average person’s working vocabulary ranges between 2000 to 8000. But our habitual vocabulary is very limited. Our habitual vocabulary is the selection of words done by us regularly, automatically, and involuntarily. Your limited habitual vocabulary gets reflected every time in your writing and as well as in your speaking pattern.

Enriching your habitual vocabulary is a part of your action plan which we will discuss in our action plans.

The 13th-century Persian poet Rumi said – “Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”

  • Link Pain and Pleasure Feelings –

When you use new empowering words always attach pleasurable sensational feelings to your behavior. You will feel energized, motivated and negativity won’t exist anymore. On the contrary have a feel of painful sensation on using disempowering and weakening words. How those words push you back! How you lag behind others! How you lose respect in the eyes of others! Realize that painful sensational feeling.

  • And finally, Train Your Brain –

Taking a decision followed by the above-suggested actions consistently over some time is ‘how you train your brain’. Michael Merzenich, a neuroscientist at, the University of California, San Francisco in his wonderful speech said that “our brains are indeed PLASTIC, they can grow, develop and change itself with proper nourishment, training, and exercise.”

Be flexible. Change your approach. Restructure your habitual vocabulary bank, add empowering words, remove discouraging and negative words.

“Throughout human history, our greatest leaders and thinkers have used the power of words to transform our emotions, to enlist us in their causes, and to shape the course of destiny. Words can not only create emotions, they create actions. And from our actions flow the results of our lives.” Tony Robbins
